Prayers for The Brook

During this season leading up to the "Immeasurably More" spiritual focus, the most important thing to do is to call our church to pray. Prayer changes things! Prayer makes a difference! Prayer develops our trust in God not self! Prayer activates the hand of God to move, provide and work in miraculous ways! There's just nothing more important than seeking God through prayer.

God is working in our church and has so much to reveal to us about who we are and what we're to do in the years ahead. So in preparation for these 21 days beginning October 27, let us covenant together to pray for our dear church.

How can you pray for The Brook? Below are some key ways and prayer requests that I've outlined for you. In these days ahead we are going to be joined together in spiritual union. It's going to be awesome to know that I am united in spirit with my church family and to feel the oneness with you in prayer! May God bless you and The Brook Church!

PRAYERS FOR THE BROOK

Pray first and foremost that God would be glorified, that we would be utterly dependent upon the Holy Spirit, and that Jesus would be lifted up in and through The Brook Church.

Pray that God would draw to Himself every person who comes here; that He would reveal to us His love, and bring lost people to know Christ as Savior and Lord.

Pray that our vision of Acts 2:42-47 (Real People, Finding Real Hope, In the Real World) would be realized. Pray that we would be faithful to this vision.

Pray for the spiritual growth of people in our church body. Pray that we all would grow in Christ and develop as authentic disciples of Jesus.

Pray that God would protect us from every deceitful plan of the Evil One to divert us and divide us.

Pray for continued financial blessings in our church. Pray that we would steward these resources in the most God-honoring way.

Pray that we would be a friendly and open church who shares the love and warmth of Christ with newcomers.

Pray that God would bring new leaders into our church and people who already attend into places of service and leadership.

Pray for our existing church family- for a deep love for God and each other. Pray that we would hunger for God and His Word.

Pray for our children’s ministry and student ministry. Pray that we would have a heart to serve these areas, an abundance of volunteers, and develop our children in the Lord.

Pray for other ministries of our church that you are mindful of… missions ministry, our Groups ministry, worship ministry, tech ministry, greeting team, men’s ministry, women’s ministry etc.

Pray for the people who make up our wonderful church family. Ask God to protect the unity of our church and make us a church that loves each other and is committed to one another.

Pray for our servants and volunteers. Ask God to continue building in our church the broad base of serving that we witness now. Pray against burnout for our devoted servants.

Pray for our future needs of space and facilities. Pray for wisdom and God’s provision.

Pray for the “For Generations to Come” Capital Campaign. Pray that God would allow us to achieve this goal even before the time it is planned to conclude.

Pray for our pastor and elders.

Pray for our ministry leaders who give, lead and serve so much in the church.

Pray for the “Immeasurably More” spiritual focus coming on October 27. Pray Ephesians 3:14-21 for The Brook!
